Hello, just asking for peoples oppinions to make sure i am headed down the right path.
Hosted 3cx running on OVH
6 phones onsite.
Yealink t-46s
Sbc running on Windows
Siptrunk.com is our service provider.
We moved the SBC from a windows computer that was also a workstation
moved it to a dedicated mini pc.
The first two weeks it was running on the workstation no complaints
We then purchased a mini pc 4 gb ram, windows 10 windows antivirus ( same as the shared workstation)
Now client is saying external calls are perfect but extension to extension calls are choppy and drop.
also very choppy when using paging groups and intercom.
Now 4 out of 6 phones are using a powerline to Ethernet adapter. when pinging the phones some phones are steady at 3 milliseconds, others can go from any to 3 ms to 15 ms.
I feel this is an internal network problem. I have suggested getting rid of the powerline adapters and getting a switch and actual ethernet drops to them.
This makes sense correct? everything is one flat lan, 192.168.1.xxx
to avoid conflict I have agreed to move the SBC back however to set expectations. I told them i do not think this will resolve the problem.
