We have just upgraded to v18 Pro and want to use the API to launch calls from our application, among other things.

I've been reading this page on the 3CX website and near the bottom it says:
The API allows for such functions as launching calls from the application, receiving notifications about call status and more.
Directly underneath that text it has a link to "Read CDR records programmatically" and "3CX CRM API". Both of those links go to pages which mention nothing at all about launching calls. Please could someone point me in the right direction.

There's no official supported way right now. An API is coming but no ETAs.

@VoIPTools has a module for APIs. It uses a undocumented unsupported and almost top secret system API to trigger the call.

You can also find some examples on the Web but nothing can be fully trusted (talking about those Github repos.)

Thanks for the information. Really annoyed about that. It was the main reason we upgraded to pro. It's somewhat dishonest of 3CX to be advertising this feature. Although technically they're not lying, it's extremely misleading to advertise a feature that you can't use.

Because you can still use Click2Call with the app, you don't really need an API.

If your software is web-based, put phones as tel://<number>.

If desktop, you can use CallTriggerCmd in the legacy Windows client or wait for the DesktopApp to add that feature.
