Hello

I have a problem with 3CX crashing several times a week, sometimes a day. All crashes occur with the same segfault message:
3CXPhoneSystem[21337]: segfault at 1160 ip 00007ff1304e9ac0 sp 00007ff1077fd1f8 error 4 in libresip-1.10.so[7ff13037b000+24d000]

The server is in a virtual machine on VMWare. Output of uname -a is
4.9.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.65-3+deb9u1 (2017-12-23) x86_64 GNU/Linux. The 3CX version is 16.0.619, no updates available.

I have:
  1. Switched from vmxnet to e1000 NIC as suggested here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-v15-5-15502-6-sip-server-crashing.66650/post-286648
  2. Patched the systemd files to restart the services upon failure
Point 1 had no effect.

Any thoughts?

Version: 16.0.619 (Professional Perpetual)
Server OS: Debian GNU/Linux 9
Hosting: Own VMWare host running on a cloud server
Phones: Mix of 3CX softphones (on Win 10 and Android) and a GrandStream GXP2130
Firewall checker: OK

The environment is working otherwise, we have at the moment 133 extensions up.

How many processors, and amount of memory assigned to the Debian virtual machine

Have you thought about increasing the memory as a test ?

Thank you Saqqara for the reply.

This is what ESXi says:
CPUs 2
Memory 2 GB

I will up the memory
