Hi,

A user reported they are receiving 3CX expiry notifications.

Their extension ( Reception user ) email is not on the company domain registered on 3CX and has never been used as a login other than to this extension. It is worth noting the extension is not in Default and is in its own Department with one other extension

v20 does not look to offer any where in the admin interface to configure where these license expiry messages go to?

I did see on my 3CX mobile client that there is a Chat - with three recipients: System Notification, me and a user. This is They are also receiving email notifications about the licence expiry.

What can I do to stop these kind of alerts being generated for user extensions.

Thank you

I believe its 14 days before expiry, users will get a banner within 3CX chat stating license expiry.

you should renew your license before this 14 days to prevent this.

I understand the 14 day expiry but I do not understand why some users are getting Chat messages to say there is a licence expiry. Sure, we can renew it, but I am more interested in why some extensions are receiving this message and not others. In the 3CX Web UI there is no licence expiry message for some users, which again, is desired behaviour. All the symptoms I have is that a specific extension is receiving "Admin level" notifications, on the phone and a browser, where others are not. The affected extension is reception, so maybe that is the answer.

Queue supervisors and system owners get the chat message.

Does this apply to user extensions configured as Receptionists? That is the only additional privilege the extension has.

Currently, users with the Receptionist role or higher are already receiving the notification.

3CX absolutely must provide a way to specify who —or which role— receives the notification.
Currently, users who are not authorized to make decisions are being notified. This indirectly puts pressure on management, which is not desirable.
