Licence Issue

Hi,

I have a Medicial call centre that has a licence expiring, we had renewed the licence, but accounts did not check it was done. the system is stuck saying the licence is waithig to be completed or cancelled.

With Help from Paul Clarke, we tried to get it sorted, but being the weekend its not sorted yet.

Question is if I but a new licence without a fqdn and do replace licence on the system will it keep system settings and keep the FQND as well.

Does it have to be the same sim calls and advanced licence when swapping.

The Licence is ending tonight so will need to do something

Not the system listed as its not showing in the list for some reason

what is the version? If old enough it can’t talk to the activation server.

If it's v18u8+ or v20, simply buy a new license of the same level and do a "Replace License Key". It will transfer the FQDN and details to the new key.

No its not the latest, but is on the version to talk to the server, the issue is with 3xc billing, our tranaction to renew the licence went wrong somewhere and it lock in their billing system, if we try to renew or upgrade is said there is another tranaction to complete or delete. so this is why I am looking at the route of buying another licence and changing it on the system, I just need to know it will keep the same FQDN or what is the risk doing this on a bust system

No it will not.

I had the same issue this week while trying to renew a license. It locked up as it creates an unpaid order in the system. They have to clear it manually and only accounting can do that.

This is the second one that happened to us, the first time they cleared it down and we had time to wait, this time, the accounts renewing did not noticed there was an issue.

So once its the same licence it will work. I was reading about it on some of the forums. but it did not give a conclusive answer

I just did the licence swap and it worked a treat, can't thank you enough for the confirmation that it works.

It gave me the confinance to buy a 64 sim advanced licence and do it on a live system.
