Solved License Update from 4SC to 16SC in v18 Linux server

Hi,
I have Configured one dedicated instance from 3cx partner portal.
I have bought License for 16sc ,May i know, how to update the license key from partner portal
What are prerequisite needed for update the License.
[Note: It's hosted by 3cx from partner portal]

Hi,

Unfortunately, this is not possible with 3CX hosted systems.

However, you can do one of the following:

1) Contact our sales department and request a refund. Then upgrade the existing license.

2) Deploy a blank PBX system and restore it from backup post installation

Steps:

1. Create and download a backup from the existing machine without including license and FQDN.
2. Uninstall the PBX
3. If you want to use the same FQDN from the old instance you will need to release the FQDN from the old license key.

Note: There is no guarantee you will be able to pick the same FQDN once you release, so keep that in mind.

4. Deploy your new 3CX hosted machine without including the backup you have downloaded previously from the old instance. Make sure that the 'digit length' is the same as in the backup file. This can be identified from the extension number of a user.

5. Once the 3CX hosted system has successfully deployed, execute the restore from backup operation using the backup file uploaded to an FTP, SFTP or Google Storage.
