License Upgrade

since forum search couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for .
i have 3CX pro 8SC

so now i want to upgrade to 3cx PRO 16SC but in portal i see separately i need to upgrade and renew for the folllowing year , is this correct or is it possible to at one go upgrade and renew License ?

and do i upgrade first and then renew ? or renew first and then upgrade ?

is there any option to both upgrade and renew at same time so one payment is charged in card ?

You use the Upgrade button, not Renew.

This way you can change only the level. Cost will be prorated.

In the portal, you should be able to add to cart the upgrade and the renewal as line items, and pay all at once. We do it often.

Otherwise, we can take care of that for you as well.

then there is a bug in the app in the edge browser as when i add one the other gets removed

Hmm, that might be a bug on the portal. Is there a reason you wanna avoid doing two transactions?

I think it may be related to the fact that you cannot renew at a level and then upgrade, it confuses the system as to which came first.

the finance department wants it as one transaction, they say company policy, i think other companies might to have similar policies

issue with that is i have to go through lengthy cumbersome process and get approval from finance on a new supplier registration , which i will initiate later if 3cx has no official solution to this or if finance still is strict on payment terms given the issue.

I tried on my side and yeah, it's a limitation of the portal. You need to upgrade first, then renew at that new level. Let us know which way is easier for you.
