Hello 3CX,

I just installed a brand new 3CX with the Standard annual license but the systems shows "Activation Failed" at the Information section
in the License tab below.
While in the Maintenance tab it shows "Expired". When I go to the license settings my license expires in 12/2022 and when I am trying
to refresh my license key information it shows " license_error.HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request " while it shows all my information for the license key.

I have changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and still not working while in the firewall I have open all the required ports.

Please if someone has any idea regarding this issue , I'd be very grateful for his help.

Regard,

Which version are you are using of 3cx?

Hello ,
Thanks for the interest.

Well it is the latest v16 version and it is updated .

Regards,

does your Firewall do any form of DPI or Proxy services for HTTPs connections?
If so, you must exclude inspections for activation.3cx.com.

Actually we don't have firewall at all, what I meant above is that I was saying regarding the port forwarding on our router which is a Huawei HG630 V2 . So no any DPI nor Proxy services for HTTPs connections at all. As for the activation.3cx.com I cannot ping it.

Regards,

Hi Jack,

That is correct, it does not answer to pings.

Can you look on your management console, right side, and tell us the version you see there exactly?

Hello John,
It is showing this version: 16.0.6.655 ,

Regards,

Any idea guys why it's happening that ?

Regards,

Hi jack,

send me your key in a private conversation, and I can take a look

Can you also tell me what operating system you are running and what version?

The OS is Windows 10 Pro, v-2004, build 19041.508.

Regards,

Hi Jack,

The license seems to be in order, so I would start looking elsewhere for the issue:

- Windows Firewall (disable it entirely)
- 3rd Party Antivirus (uninstall it completely)
- 3rd Party Software (only 3CX should be installed on your server - nothing else)
- Any settings on your router/modem that may interfere with SSL (you may need to ask your ISP, including internet filters they may activate on their side)

Hi John,

- Windows Firewall (disable it entirely) - done
- 3rd Party Antivirus (uninstall it completely) - done
- 3rd Party Software (only 3CX should be installed on your server - nothing else) - done

and still does not respond.

While the latest one "Any settings on your router/modem that may interfere with SSL (you may need to ask your ISP, including internet filters they may activate on their side)" , I will ask them regarding this but I don't believe that the problem is here cause everybody that has deployed 3CX with this ISP(the biggest in Albania) would have issues.

Regards,

Makes sense, but best to make sure. Now that you have done the first 3 points, restart all your services and see if the PBX can communicate.

If not, then I can give you further instructions

Hi ,

Just did it and still nothing.
While I am waiting from my ISP to respond.

Regards,

Ok Jack, at this point I would recommend to remove and reinstall 3CX.

There was a recent issue with Let's Encrypt and the installation may have never fully completed.

Ok I understand John.

But can I use the same key ?

Regards,

Yes of course, just uninstall the current 3CX system, restart the server, then reinstall again using you existing key.

Ok, I will do it and I will let you know.

Regards,
