Does anybody have an idea how to group several similar lines (SIP trunks, PSTN lines), so to achieve balanced usage between them (each outgoing call on a next line)? This can be useful if you have PSTN lines with free minutes, etc. The idea is to have one outbound rule for the line group.

I'm afraid that won't be possible.
You would need to send a certain amount/group of extensions over different outbound rules with different primary PSTN lines. That would be the only slution I see.

On the other hand. Can't you get a deal with the provider that the free minutes a freely usable over any of these PSTN lines?

Hi Diederik,

Thanks for reply -- the question is not finding an alternative, with sure there are. Each multichannel trunk (SIP or ISDN) will do the job, again having 2 or more ISDN BRI lines from a provider (MSN, not DDI) will lead to same issues.

It is a normal requirement to group separate lines into a single logical unit, like having extension groups, paging groups, ring groups. etc. In a line group normally you would have various methods of accessing them - sequentially (low to high, high to low), rotation, randomly, longest unused, etc. In context of 3CX the outbound rule should be able to use such line groups, besides individual lines / trunks and again having second and third priority.

Regards,
Orlin.
