Is there some way to configure BLF keys so a user can see an incoming call when they are currently on a call?

This is a bit difficult to describe but here it goes:

When users are in a call they want to be able to see an incoming call on the BLF keys, I have not found a way to enable the option. If a user wants to pick up a call after they have left their initial call they are unable to see the incoming call.

There is an option called: Perform operations (divert, transfer, pickup) or possibly enable the option, Accept multiple calls under Forwarding tab. Would either option if enabled, allow any user to see and pick up an incoming call?

I’m still a bit new to 3CX so still learning to navigate the UI and configurations.

Current configuration:

v16

9 extensions in total with a main Ring Group of 3 extensions, if no answer, it rings to a fourth extension.

Yealink T46S

BLF key setup:
2 line keys
5 shared parking keys
7 Extensions keys

Would that not use a second line key (if available), on the set?

I have two Line Keys configured for every extension. My premise is, a user can be on a call, place the current call on hold while they use the second line key to place a call.

This user has 5 channels (3 DIDs) and wants to be able to see activity of all five channels, basically. :)

The main issue is when there is a call coming in and a user who is on a call, hangs up, they can't see the incoming call flashing on a Line Key while the incoming call is still ringing to the ring group. There is no way for the user to pick up the call before the incoming call goes to VM.

I'm sure I dont have something either configured correctly or an option enabled which is preventing this.

We are still fairly new to 3CX and learning on the fly, so to speak. :)

If a member of a ring group hangs up while a call is ringing the group, their line will not begin ringing. The ring group is polled when the call first comes in, and does not recognise sets that in the meantime have gone idle.

You might do a search for ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP , on the forum. It is an option that is not recommended by 3CX as it can cause issue. There have been a lot of discussions on it's use.

You might also consider the use of a queue, if you find all members of a ring group are often busy.

How about starting just with Accept Multiple Calls?
