i'm using linksys spa921 ip phone device with 3cx, which works as a media proxy. it uses g711 codec. when i talk to someone i can hear a kind of clicks in periods of silence between the phrases. i mean that when someone (me or a called party) talks - everything is perfect, but when we keep silence i hear a series of fast clicks. it's very irritating.
i suppose that it's a kind of silence detection mechanism which is inteded to lower the load on the network. but it works not in the best way.
so does anybody had such a problems and how to get rid of this clicks?
