Sorry, I just wasn't thinking when I linked that thread.

Here is a recap of the relevant posts in that thread:

From Me:

JP,

I know what this is happening, but I don't know how to (fully) fix it. The provisioning for linksys phones now changes the dial plan so that 3cx * features are enabled such as call park, fwd to voicemail, etc. Before it is changed, the * codes do not work correctly because the dial plan does not allow for the codes to be sent to the PBX; they stay local in the phone for call features.

So, if I change it back to (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.) , I have a reasonable amount of time to dial. But, I miss the call features such as Paging and stuff. So, as far as I know, it's between the two setups.

Change your dial plan under the line tab to (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.) and you'll be back to the waiting. You might need to turn off the provisioning then so it doesn't keep resetting it.

3cx, please let me know if you can reproduce this.

From kevin:

Hi there

Please be aware that the linksys phones have 2 interdigit timeouts that are relevent.

The "Regional" tab on the phone's web interface is where you can find the "Interdigit Long Timer" and "Interdigit Short Timer" values.
It's the "Interdigit Short Timer" which needs to change because the new dialplan to allow the Call Pickup and similar functions basically makes any number length valid.

Manufacturer's reference for this is in the Phone manual - key words to search for are "dial" "plan" "interdigit" and "timeout".

The current default for this value is 3 seconds.

We will consider changing the default for this value in a future version of the provisioning files.

Thanks and Regards

Kevin

From Jparisi
That did it, but upping it makes you wait too long for the call to connect....

Oh well.... I guess 3 is ok and we'll just dial with the phone on-hook.

From ra81:

We updated the Linksys provisioning templates and now there is a timeout of 10 seconds.

You can download the templates from the Versions/Updates page and regenerate the provisioning templates for the phone sets.

So, if you're using a free version, the provisioning update does not help you much. However, you can mess with those inter digit timeouts to try and find a balance (acceptable delay).
