Location of the chat files on Debian install

Hello,

since V18 the Chat is more useable then before. Additonally remote working increased the use of Smartphone clients aswell as the chat usage.

leading to my question, where are those chatdata (pictures and texts) stored?
Are they included in the 3cx Backup?

Currently running 3cx V18 in an VM with "only" 16 GB of diskspace.

I saw this post.
A) ist about v16 b) it only lists the windows path. Sorry if not everyone knows what the equivalent path in linux is.

And still the question If those chats and attachments are included in backups or need to be backed up manually isnt answered in the link provided.

The chats are included in the backups, yes. You can find them in the DbTables folder within your backup, in files like chatmessage.csv.

The equivalent path would be /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Chat (just an fyi for you), but this will only include the images.
