Location transmitted on 911 call from 3CX App

I want to know which location will be transmitted if 911 call is made from 3CX app. I couldn't find it in the document.
Will that be cell phone location? or the location registered to the outgoing caller ID at the SIP provider level?

I tried 933 test calls from 3CX App and SIP provider would still provide the e911 info tied to the SIP line to the 911 service.
Will my phone # be shared automatically to the 911? Or would 911 dispatcher see my location?
I am little confuse with it. LOL.
So I might suggest our employees not to use 911 service from 3CX app but use their cell phones in emergencies.

They may not redirect 933?

I had to hunt it down but see https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/ios-beta-ray-baum-act/ from 2022.
"The 3CX app recognizes when an emergency number is dialed and “offloads” the call to the native GSM dialer instead. This enables the emergency location’s information to be captured."

What I mean is, when I dial 933, the SIP provider forwards the registered number and information to 911. The voice response reads out that information. So, in this process, dialing 933 > SIP > voice prompt reads the e911 details. Therefore, dialing 933 works, but the information provided isn’t my cell number or the details that the 911 team would receive.

Based on what you mentioned and the post you shared, I believe I’ll need to dial 911 directly to verify if the call is routed through my GSM cell provider. It seems that 933 might not be recognized on the 3CX app. LOL.

On a related subject....

I noticed a feature in 3CX V20 SP3 Beta. I don't know how long this feature has existed (just discovered the setting), but it appears you can now put in the location (latitude and longitude) of each extension. Apparently, for SIP providers that support this data, we can pass your actual location (by extension) with the call. Naturally, that only works for fixed locations and might not be appropriate for a soft phone running on a laptop, but I was surprised to see the feature.

We have a desktop application we developed for our 3CX Emergency Notifier tool. For some time I have thought about using that application to update the 3CX user's physical location. We could potentially update the latitude/longitude based on where the laptop is currently located. Today we can update the location of a physical phone / legacy client based on the IP address of the device, but maybe we could push this information (and/or the IP address) to 3CX in real-time too using this app.

So many ideas and so little time.

Problem is it can change... the Voxtelesys 911 test number is 922 for example.
