Not sure what happened but this morning I am locked out of my 3CX Admin portal. I tried logging in with the same password I have always used but it failed and now I am locked out for trying too many times. I am a reseller and when I go to my Instance Manager, there are 3 instances I can see, but I can't figure out how to delete the ones I no longer want, and there are no options to edit anything.

I can tell which one should be mine based on the URL I am using. I am hosting it in Azure, but based on the info I see on the instance details page, the public IP is wrong. It is showing the same as the private IP. I am not sure if this is the way it always displays for security or something. but I have confirmed that the IP in Azure is not even close. Is it possible that my Public IP on the instance got lost or re-written in the 3CX system?

My physical deskphone is still making and receiveing calls, but my softphone can't register. Has anyone ever had this happen before? Is there any fix for it on my own or with 3CX support?

Thanks for any advice.

Ok well I just tried opening my Softphone on my mobile, and it warned me that my IP has been blacklisted. I guess the Windows app does not tell you that.

So I remember I had a rule in there to allow my IP, so I can only assume that my IP has changed recently.

I just tried to login from another location using what I know my password was (I use a password keeper and I keep them in my local database) and I get a password incorrect error. When I try the "Forgot Password" feature, it says it has forwarded info on password resets to my admin, which would only be me, but I never receive anything

This is a Linux client running in Azure so I do not have console access to the system either.

Hi Mark,

If you used console restrictions and are now connecting from a disallowed IP, this is the behavior that the login screen will have.

In case you added only one allowed IP (which you no longer have access to) then there is no way to log in anymore via the management console.

If also can't get linux console access to the the system, then I hope you at least have a backup somewhere as you will most likely have to redeploy it.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to redeploy my instance onto Azure pretty easily. For some reason my backup would not restore, so I had to set everything up manually.

Still no idea what originally happened. My password that had been working for a couple years all the sudden stopped working. I guess I got hacked and they changed the password?

Anyways, I'm back in business now. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Mark,

Glad to hear everything is up again!

As for you backup, I'm interested in learning what issue you faced that prevented you from restoring.
