An existing 3CX client has opened a second office, it has it's own call queue and a single reception deskphone. Both sites have a single extension in their queues. The admin manager has both extensions added to her Android app.

The new office is initially only open sporadically, the customer wants to know how/whether they can logout of the queue from just the app (leaving the deskphone still logged in) and vice versa. From what I know logging out of the queue on the app logs out of all queues and that will also logout the deskphone - is that correct? And same in reverse, logging out on the deskphone logs out on the app too?

What the customer wants to do is allow both the app and the deskphone (same extension) to be in the queue while the office is open then when the office is unattended have only the app accept calls and then at the end of the day logout the queue on the app and somehow also the deskphone (remotely) so all calls then go to voicemail.

Is this scenario possible?

3CX Version, Professional 18.3.461
Server OS, Debian
Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Hosted by 3CX Reseller
IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware version, Yealink T46U + Android App
Provisioning Method: SBC
Trunk Provider or VoIP Gateway Make/Model, NetVault SIP Trunk
Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

Hello.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to define specific devices and log them out of the queue.
The logic of the PBX is for the extension and not for a specific device.

You can logout the app from the extension, note the queue. The deskphone stays in the queue. Thats the only thing that will work. @OlegR_3CX said it allready.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I have directed the customer to use the web interface to change the extension status directly.

You should just use different extensions and make both members of the q. but if you must use the same extension...

disable the app by de-activating the account (still in queue, phone is still logged in but app won't ring)

disable the phone (ip phone model specific) by activating dnd on the phone hardware (not 3CX). The phone won't ring but 3CX will still try sending it calls because it will still be logged in. Not all phones can do this, some phones will sync dnd status with 3CX. In which case just unplug the phone.
