What version of Win 10, software requires Pro or Enterprise

You did follow the steps 3 onwards - https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/phone-system-installation-windows/

In order to log into the server using the fqdn name, you need spilt dns configuring - https://www.3cx.com/docs/creating-fqdn-split-dns/ Depending on your router, you maybe able to add a fqdn which points to the local ip address of the server

To access the server externally, you need to setup portforwarding on the router - https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/firewall-router-configuration/

The Windows is a Windows 10 Pro 1909

FYI the host machine has a static internal IP which i did state in ma earlier message.

Also with the network and internet sharing all the down i do not the the adapter and Binding Tab to the connection. all i see there is Network provider underneath Microsoft Remote Desktop Session, Microsoft Windows Network and third Web Client Network.

Hello,

The FQDN is bound to the public IP. The public IP can only point to your PBX if the correct ports are open on both your firewall and Windows.

Windows Ports should be opened during installation, but the firewall is something you need to do manually.

Also sidenote, many firewalls/routers/modems may come without hairpin traffic meaning that you cannot access an FQDN that points back to your own public IP.

It is not recommended to install the system on a normal PC workstation (unless its is only for testing) because other software running concurrently with a PBX server may cause undesired behavior.
