Logs are full of registered/unregistered entries all day long (every few minutes) for all extensions.

How do I resolve this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Matt,

Obvious bit out of the way first - your extensions are having registration issues :)

Can you see this one the endpoints themselves - most will have a little phone icon which will change when in a registered/de-registered state.

Also where are the phones located in regards to 3CX - local or remote via SBC/STUN or VPN connection?

Running a PCAP trace from the end-point would probably be a good start I think.

This is most likely users mobile apps reregistering.

Also Web Client extensions as well, we have a number of extension configured just as web clients to act as wallboards and the log shows them as pinging in and out all the time

These are all soft phones: 1 on an android device, 1 on IOS, and 1 on a Macbook Pro.

I use the phones in my office (LAN) and when out of the office (WAN). I will be deploying IP phones shortly on the LAN.

I don't see the status changing on the devices themselves - I don't spend too much time staring at the display, but I'm certain I would have noticed.

This does not appear to be causing any noticeable issues at the moment, but I am planning to move my business numbers from my virtual PBX (grasshopper) to my 3CX system shortly, and I wanna make sure I can rely on this system. I suppose what I'm trying to say is... is this something that I should be concerned about and will it cause problems at some point? I'm new to the system so this caught my attention considering it seemed like unusual behavior. I need the system to be as reliable as possible (who doesn't lol!).

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for the help!

As you say they are all soft phones - see the point made by @Rhys Haskell previously.

I would expect this behavior from mobile clients (Android & IOS) but not Window or MAC.

Mobile clients will most likely be changing connection type from 4G to WiFi regularly and during this process will have to go through the re-registration process again due to IP changes, desktop clients are static so I would hope not re-register too often.

Also when you close a mobile app it deregisters until it is activated by PUSH again. This is normal behaviour and I wouldnt be worried about it.

Thanks for all the responses. I will consider this closed, and a non-issue at this point. Thanks!
