Hello everyone,
I'm looking for guidance on the best way to implement reliable, long-term call recording retention for our current 3CX SMB Hosted installation.
Our current setup:
My questions:
I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has implemented this on 3CX SMB Hosted, or from a 3CX representative who can clarify the supported options.
Thank you.
I'm looking for guidance on the best way to implement reliable, long-term call recording retention for our current 3CX SMB Hosted installation.
Our current setup:
- 3CX SMB Hosted, V20 Update 10 (Build 1716)
- Six extensions, including five sales/customer-service users
- Twilio Elastic SIP Trunking
- Recording enabled for all calls on all five agent/customer-service extensions
- We need to retain both inbound and outbound call recordings for business and quality-assurance purposes.
My questions:
- Does 3CX SMB Hosted support automatic remote archiving of call recordings to Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, SharePoint, SFTP, or another external storage destination?
- If remote archiving is not supported on SMB Hosted, which 3CX licence and deployment would you recommend for a six-extension setup that supports automatic recording archiving?
- Is there a supported way to migrate our existing SMB Hosted installation to that deployment while retaining our extensions, configuration, and Twilio SIP trunk?
- Can we configure a retention policy, for example, keeping recordings for 12–24 months, while ensuring archived recordings are not automatically deleted when they are removed from the PBX?
- Are there any additional licensing or storage costs we should account for?
I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has implemented this on 3CX SMB Hosted, or from a 3CX representative who can clarify the supported options.
Thank you.
