I am the IT person for an SMB and we are moving to a new building soon and would like to migrate from our current Avaya IP Office to 3CX.
I handle most of the functions of the Avaya system but would be out of my league if I had to set it up from scratch.
That said, most of the vendors we have looked at offer monthly costs per line. Given our current system was paid off years ago, its hard to change to a monthly model for this service.
I am wondering if there are any 3CX vendors out there that offer a one time startup assist and then also provide a pay for support service as needed.
We have around 65 extensions and would prefer a little more DIY vs a $25/month fee X 65 ext which starts to add up quickly.

I was able to deploy the Azure 3CX package very easily and have several mobile phones working using the app.
I could probably do it but would like to find a vendor to make sure its done right from the start and then I can take over from there.

Any vendors like this out in the 3CX world?

I'm sure there are some vendors out there, but 3CX is pretty straight forward to deal with, and a lot of documentation available on it. I suggest looking into a 3CX Hosted instance or cloud instance and spinning up a SBC on a local machine or raspberry pi that connects to the PBX. SBC allows phones to be near plug and play. Any particular concerns you have as far as setup?

Also, you mentioned Avaya phones, a lot of those or legacy or unsupported by 3CX https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/ so you might be looking at dropping some money on new phones, and/or doing a hybrid with 3CX apps, webclients and deskphones.

@jpatel is right. 3CX is usually pretty straightforward for an IT person. That being said, we are one of the few vendors doing one-time help when needed, so feel free to DM me if you wish. Training is also possible.

Hi @relay700 !

I agree with all of the above, 3CX is very easy to install and configure especially for people already in the IT Admin business. Quite frankly the hardest part of the "3CX Setup" is configuring everything else around it to work correctly, like Firewalls, VLANs if you wan them on the network, etc...

I do have to say though that 3CX is primarily channel based, so if you feel uncertain about doing it yourself, you should consider seeking out a 3CX Professional and approved partner. A list of 3CX Partners can be found here:

Not sure where you are at or if you prefer someone local, but we also do one-off support. We prefer the 'teach a man to fish' method as ultimately, you are going to be the one supporting it so we want you to be capable of doing so with the option of reaching out if needed. We also offer 3CX certified SIP services so it's potentially one less vendor to deal with.

Thanks for all the responses! I am well into a test deployment as I want to understand the 3CX environment as much as possible so that I can be a better admin.
@NickD_3CX, so far I am finding that you are 100% correct about where the real work lies and that's in integrating it with all the existing infrastructure.
