hello, I have a problem with a customer that experiences low output audio during calls, while calls between extensions work without problems. My scenario is the following server 3cx 15.5 SP6 + 2 gatewey patton SN4114jo + yealink phones t23g updated with the latest firmware 44.83.0.20, I read somewhere that we need to increase the gain on the patton to increase the output volume someone can you tell me if this is correct or are there other ways to follow?
thank you

The gain settings on a Patton device can control the volume of the callee or caller (Output and Input gains) so yes it would be worth checking this setting.

Under -> Telephony / PSTN Profiles / Profile default

Hybrid Loss 9
Non-Linear Processor Mode [Checked] -> Adaptive
Output gain (Specifies the input gain from the PSTN) = 0
Input gain (Specifies the output gain towards the PSTN) = 0

To save yourself some bandwidth also you could also look at enabling the Silence suppression setting also: Under -> Telephony / VoIP Profiles / Profile default -> Voice
Silence Suppression set to "yes" on all Codecs

Failing that it may also be worth noting what codecs you are using for each leg of the call - also (and based on where you are located) ensure you do not have such features as BT featureline or Redcase (different names based on you country) turned on, on the FXO line as this will provide PBX-Like features on the line which you do not require (due to using 3CX).

Also ensure you are running the latest 6.10 firmware on the Patton device: https://www.patton.com/support/upgrades/index.asp?um=SmartNode 411x

Patton support is very good and I'd recommend reaching out to them if you don't have any luck with the recommendations by @eddv123

Don't think bandwidth is going to be a concern on the same LAN :). To be fair the OP didn't state the actual setup but since the Patton gateways only work on the local LAN with stock 3CX template I'm fairly certain that's the setup here.

Fair point, but although not specified (Or supported) I know lots of resellers using BRI/PRI and FXO PSTN boxes remotely to 3CX cloud.

This is using VPN, STUN and SBC methods. Due to the Pattons flexibility and stability as a gateway it's makes things very easy, albeit I find the STUN method is less preferable for security reasons.
