The new Mac desktop App feels really off... here a screenshot off my Menubar
you can tel every icon is BW (some of the apps provide colored Icons... but every app is configurable to a BW icon and none has Text. Next to the icon.
in the closed thread there is the following screenshot:
If you want to make your app stand out do it by features. Please tell your R&D Department to take an example from all other Mac Apps...
And don't let them tell you this Task is hard having used Electron myself... this should not take to long to make a Dropdown to select BW or Color Icon and a Checkbox to Remove Text. And if you are on it let them add another Checkbox to hide the dock Icon.
Don't get me wrong but this is taking up way to much space in the menu bar...in relation to the Amount of Information it provides... would like to be able to get more Information on a glance... If you want to take up that much space Id like to see things like number of voicemails / missed calls / current status... but the only information I get is... The App was started. that information is duplicated... because there is also no option to hide the Dock Icon... I want a status bar icon to be as minimal and as informativ as possible. That is the way to stand out... Not makeing your statusbar Icon an advert for a product i already own.
And I know your app is multiplatform but i guess windows users wouldn't say no to a more Informativ statusbar icon...
Would have loved to Post that under Ideas to get Votes from other mac users... but don't have permission to post Ideas. Maybe somebody could open a thread there would get my instant upvote...
