Maintenance fee

Silly question:
On the website https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/3cx-maintenance/ I read: “Maintenance is applicable on Perpetual licenses only and …”
But when you use the “PBX Edition 8 SC” you have to pay 95 Euro for yearly maintenance.
So, the free version isn’t really free or do I read it wrong.

The free version is free for the 1st year. Continued use beyond that requires the maintenance fee

As above, can not expect 3cx to cover the costs of the ssl for ever

You do not read it wrong! I think it is completely fair that a customer have to pay for the 3CX background services, and isent able to parasites on the excellent services year after year.
Why:
• Lots of employee that need to be payed each month.
• Marketing material for your website.
• Access and maintenacce of a Forum and your 183 answerd posts.
• Maintenance of the DNS for your costomers FQDN.
• Maintenance of the certificates for your costumers.

Just my silly oppinion.
