Hello,

I activated the function to ring the mobile at the same time as the extension but when the call does not come from outside and it is an internal call, on the mobile the number displayed is "unknown".

How do I get the number to be the switchboard number so that the person knows that someone has tried or is trying to call them?

There are a number of reasons that this may not be working, the first being, that your provider may not allow the sending of caller ID other than numbers that they consider registered to you.

If they do allow this, and the caller ID being sent is in a valid format, then there are several outbound trunk parameters that may require changing as they determine, from where caller Id is taken. Changes to these will affect all outbound calls, or even block them, if configured incorrectly.

Who is your provider?

My provider is OPEN IP in France.

Yes I think my provider is blocking the number displayed when it is not in the correct format.

OK no problem, that's normal, I would like at least to have the main number of the company displayed to know where the call is coming from.

What are the parameters to modify in 3CX to modify to display the main number of the company when it is an extension calling another extension and there is the mobile ringing at the same time

If it is being blocked because the number is in the wrong format (extra digits), they you could modify the caller ID you are sending so that it is accepted.

There are several outbound trunk parameters that deal with caller ID, and what requires changing, can be different with each provider. Take note of all of the original settings, as changing the wrong one can "break" all calls over that trunk.

This thread mentions some of the parameters, and applies to one provider.

There are several parameters dealing with caller ID, that have the same options available. You may have to do some trial and error to see what works for you. There is no guarantee that any will work. And, as I said, some changes may stop all outbound calls. Proceed at your own risk.

Thank you very much for your help.

I'm going to look at it all and see how it works.

Have a good day.

To add to this, the value to populate the "OriginatorCallerID" parameter in a scenario where an internal extension calls another internal extension that has "Ring my mobile simultaneously" enabled, is the caller's extension number. If you check OpenIP's Outbound parameters you will notice that SIP fields from where the Caller ID is usually read (such as From: Display Name, From: User Part, etc) are actually set to use the "OriginatorCallerID" parameter. That said, there's a good chance that the SIP Provider is receiving an extension number in the field where a longer digit number would be expected to be used as the CallerID.

First thing you could try is start changing the Outbound Parameters of the SIP Trunk to use the OutboundCallerID taken from the extension level instead of the OriginatorCallerID. Do bear in mind however that this would mean that you will be deviating from the default 3CX template used for this specific SIP Provider, and this will consequently render this SIP Trunk's configuration unsupported. You could of course always revert the changes back in the event that you require 3CX Support.

Another thing to keep in mind is that certain functionality may be lost, such as being able to show the originator's caller ID to the end destination in call flow scenarios such as having a call reach your 3CX PBX and then routed outward again.
