Make the 3CX app client dial automatically

I would like to be able to dial a number automatically, when I click a shortcut example "tel:123myphonenumber456".

Actual Behaviour: It just copys the number to the dialer
Desired Behavior: Copy the number and dial it automatically

Regarding your question, if I understand correctly when using the 3CX Click2Call feature—which converts phone numbers on HTML webpages into clickable links—the number is copied into the 3CX app in use. Are you asking if it can dial the number automatically?


If so, this is not possible. The dial button must be pressed manually to prevent accidental calls from unintended clicks.

You understand correctly. You can use the browser extension, or the native operating system shortcut "tel: + number". The behaviour is the same.

The way we use it with other softphones, it dials it automatically putting any active call on hold at the same time just with a single "click".
With 3CX client the user has to make additional clicks to do the same task, making it less efficient.

I understand, but as mentioned, this is not a feature with 3cx, I'm afraid.

Can you make this feature and just have an off and on button. We are switching over customers from other phone companies to 3CX and its getting difficult to do that with less features. Majority of our customers are in the trucking industry and need this feature.

I saw that up there. I figured I'd still make a comment on it to show that more people and business like/need this feature.
