Hi All,

I have about 100 new snom D735 phones that I'm trying to get setup on 3CX. I see they are all running old versions of the firmware.

Is there any easy way to mass update the phones to the new firmware?

I tried looking around on the 3cx site and google and I found some links but they all lead to a 404 page.

Thanks!

Have you provisioned the phones , if so select the phones under the phones, and click on fiirmware icon across the top

If the phones are not running the min firmware for 3cx you probably have to update them one by one

thanks. Well now I know what I’m doing with my Sunday morning.

Thanks for that link. I saw that, but, the server is hosted by a provider behind a vpn so they don’t show up in pnp there’s also no windows dhcp server here so as I understand dhcp option 66 won’t work, is that correct?

Is there any way to do this via an rest call instead of manually logging into each phone?

Option 66 is standard DHCP option, it's not specific to Windows. Most device that can do DHCP, as long as they aren't consumer devices, can support option 66

Also, I was going to mention that upgrading from 3CX may not work depending on how old the firmware is. But if this is over VPN and you are using the http and not https provisioning path you should be good. Some devices need to be at a minimum firmware level because earlier firmwares didn't trust the LE cert
