Message without recording

I know this is a reccuring topic but all I seem to find are old responses... so let me ask again: is there a way with current version, to play a pre-recorded message without having a recorder runing aftewards (just hang up) ?

Hi,
maybe you could use an IVR configured with no action for keys typed by the caller and ending the call after 2 sec (the time starts from the end of the message).

I guess I'm not clear exactly what you are trying to accomplish. As Claudio mentioned, you could transfer callers to an IVR and have the IVR play the message. You can set the timeout to 1 second (the minimum timeout). This timeout starts after the audio has finished.

Using the IVR is probably the easiest and simplest way to do this, but do bear in mind that you can actually do this with the 3CX CFD as well by utilizing the component called "Prompt Playback". The good thing with the CFD is that you can actually have it play the prompt to the caller and then automatically transfer the call back to the extension who originally transferred the call, provided of course that the call was transferred to the CFD in the first place.
