Hi,

We are using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Version 1612 (9.0.6.9) (DB 9.0.6.9) on-premises and would like to integrate it with either Server Side 3CX or Client side. But when I try to download the Plugin for Microsoft Dynamics CRM it is not showing as a downloadable link.

Please let me know what am I need to do to download the file to use it in the client side windows app and integrate it with our IFD / SSO based Dynamics 365.

Thanks,

Zahid

Hello Zahid,

Please note that the client side integration with Dynamics has been deprecated and is no longer supported. You should consider moving to the server side approach. However, on-premise installations are not supported in this case...

If you want to try the client side approach, I see that your PBX already has the integration installed. In order to deploy it to a 3CXPhone for Windows client, you need to go to the 3CX Console > Extensions > Edit the extension you want to apply the integration to > Options tab > Enable integration (Legacy) > and select the integration you need. The reprovision the 3CX client, and it will receive the required scripts.

Once you do this, you need to configure the integration from the 3CXPhone for Windows client > Settings > Advanced > Integration > Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

If you have any issue after you have configured this, check the logs from "%AppData%\3CXPhone for Windows\Logs".

Hope it helps.

Hi Ernesto,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. ok, I have configured the client side approach and added the CRM credentials for our organization. But how can I test it if they are correct I mean how can I check / test the connections. Do I need to install Microsoft Dynamics 365 Outlook client for this?

Thanks,

Zahid

Just make a call to your extension, and you should see the contact popup launched. If this is not happening, check the logs from "%AppData%\3CXPhone for Windows\Logs".

We're using Dynamics on premise too. With the client side integration beeing deprecated we'd rather use the server side integration but there's no clue how to set it up.
@3cx:
Please give some advice, how to set up a custom crm connection to dynamics on premise using CRM Template generator.

The server side integration we provide will not work with on-premise installations.

You will need to study the API provided by the CRM to create something custom. We can guide you on how to use the tool to create a template, but first you need to have a clear idea of the API that you will use, we can't help with that part.
