Solved Migrate 3CX on Azure to new region

If we need to move a 3CX instance to a new region within Azure would the recommendation be to follow the Azure steps: Move Azure VMs to a different Azure region with Azure Site Recovery - Azure Site Recovery | Microsoft Docs
Or simply backup > shutdown VM > spin up new VM in new region > and restore?

If you are asking about 3CX recommendations they have none. What you are asking about is Azure specific and not applicable to the many other supported environments. The standard way to move 3CX, regardless of the to/from combination is backup/restore. If you want to take advantage of platform specific tools provided by Azure then feel free to do so. 3CX doesn't know or care. At the end of the day it's personal preference. The primary benefit of using Azure tools is you can keep your public IP.
