Solved Migrate from free hosted to Lightsail?

I have a pretty new instance of 3cx hosted and will be running a single desk phone and don't want to mess with a SBC. It is my understanding that the free hosted solution requires a SBC for a deskphone. As a result, I am considering migrated the instance to LightSail.

Does anyone have a link to a guide for the following tasks?

1. LightSail configuration to support 3cx ( vm config, networking, aws firewall, etc )
2. migrating the instance to LightSail
3. what, if anything, I would need to change at my trunking service ( sip.us )?

Hello,

Yes based on our guidelines and in order to guarantee the operation of our hosted instances, there are some rules and restrictions in place.

We do not support STUN Phones in the Hosted environment.

Otherwise you may open a support ticket when you decide to migrate in order to stop the Hosted instance. You can also contact us if you have any other question..

@northguard I would think about the need for a desk phone to be honest. The admin work of maintaining your installation is included in Hosted by 3CX plus the cost of hosting itself, backup service and management etc.

You can use the 3CX WebApp, Deskop App (Windows) or your smart phone. Get a good base station (for example a Yealink Wh66, which also can charge your mobile on your desk if you use the 3CX app on your device). With this, your office is completely mobile...
