Hello,

We will have to migrate out 3CX server from one server to another one.
We thought to do VM Backup and restore by our hypervisor, the IP Address would change (another lan) but we could set the same Mac addresss for the VM.

We will take a backup of the VM ,Restore IT to the other server ,fix the mac adress of the VM,change IP Adress of the debian VM and then do change our DNS to point to the new server (for phones provisionning, etc )

Is it possible to proceed this way?Should we be aware or something (like licence ,etc)

Thank you for your answer?

The 3CX recommended and supported method is to backup 3CX and restore it as outlined here:

https://www.3cx.com/3cxacademy/videos/intermediate/backup-restore/

Your solution might work, but it's not tested by 3CX and involves components outside of 3CX. As it is a VM it seems fairly simple to test to see if it works, and if it doesn't, you can use the 3CX supported method.
