Hi,

I'm getting the 'Invalid backup file' error when i try to restore from a backup in the new v18 web interface.

I can open the .zip with no problem, i made a copy and went to get the source header too, since i saw you ask for that in other post.

<header>
<version>16.0.8.16</version>
<Date>2022-04-18 22:43:58</Date>
<TenantName></TenantName>
</header>

Rebooting the VM or even a fresh re-install didnt fix my problem, i'm using the net-install iso

I need help because i need to migrate this client soon.

Sounds like you have a corrupted backup file, was the backup file you tried to use modified? We recommend never messing with the backup file because chances of corrupting it are high. If you still have the PBX running I recommend you take a new backup file and restore it as is.

I never modified the file, i also went back on the old instance made 2 more backup and transferred them over with the same result!

Did you use the latest 3CX ISO downloaded from our portal? Also, what Hypervisor are you using and what OS is it running on?

Hello,

Yes i used the lastest iso from the portal , Running on Hyper-V on Windows Server 2019.

Thanks,

What size is the backup file, does it contain recordings too?

The backup file is about 1.6gb , only 1 recording i have one of 1.5gb without them, same error

I'll PM you shortly regarding this.

Turns out the issue was that the root file system did not have enough available disk space due to the partitioning scheme selected:

In this case it was option 2. As per our guide we recommend selecting option 1 ("All files...).

In any case, this has now been sorted and will be marked as solved!
