Missed call email notifications for a virtual extension

Might be a weird request. I have a customer who wants missed call email notifications. But they have the same extensions for multiple ring groups. They want missed calls go to different emails depending on which ring group. For example. Caller calls Department A and goes to department a ring group. They want department a ring group to go to a specific email and department b a different email. What I did was set up an unregistered extension for each ring group and added that extension to a ring group and turned on missed call emails for that new extension. It would have worked great but I realized since these "Virtual extensions" are unregistered and have no phone connected to them the emails never get sent.

This "Virtual Extension" idea is actually the best things you can do, but instead of using Ring Groups, switch everything over to Queues.
Then for:

• Queue of Department A, as the Queue Manager set the "Virtual Extension" for Department A
• Queue of Department B, as the Queue Manager set the "Virtual Extension" for Department B
• etc....
