Modify FQDN

I have a customer who would like a different 3cx fqdn, running V16 on lightsail. I would like for the new fqdn to also be a 3cx fqdn. Can you some one point me to some documentation for making this change? I have access to the customer portal and can see where I release the fqdn. Can I release it and then just run the pbx express? There is not alot configured on the current install so I dont need to backup, Im fine starting over.

Yes that's the basic process. If you wanted to keep your existing configuration you can make a backup without license key/FQDN. Then release your FQDN in the customer portal. Then shutdown/delete your old Lightsail instance and you can use PBXExpress to setup a new one, restoring your backup and selecting a new 3CX FQDN in the process.

If you release your FQDN from the licence key through the costumer portal the wizard will ask you for a new FQDN. If you want your config then you need to perform a backup without licence and FQDN like @cobaltit described.
