I currently have a 3CX Installation in the cloud, however, I am thinking of migrating it to a local installation on a computer I have in my house. The problem is, I want to find a way to transfer all my settings such as music on hold, BLFs, voicemail pins, and more. I am also wondering if port forwarding is needed for my 3CX installation to work remotely with other phones, since I have some softphones remote from my house and I may add some remote hardphones. If I can use a 3CX SBC, and that doesn't require port forwarding, I will use that. Thank you.

Backup and restore. Doesn't matter if you are going from cloud to local, local to cloud, local to local, cloud to cloud, the process is the same. Be sure to shut off your DO instance before installing your local instance. Once your local instance is tested/working you can delete the DO instance.

You absolutely have to do port forwarding, exactly the same as you do with DO. 3CX SBC is to connect remote devices to 3CX without port forwarding, not to eliminate port forwarding on the server side.

Alright, thank you!
