We like to move a License from one self hosted 3CX to another self hosted 3CX.
How can we do that?
In our partner portal I see a unlink button at the the PBX of which we like to move the License from.
Do we have to use this Unlink button?

The unlink button you see in the portal indicates that the subscription is linked to you as a partner. Having a subscription linked to you allows you to manage the key. That said, DO NOT unlink the key.

To migrate the system, all you need to do is take a backup of your existing configuration and redeploy to your preferred environment. The steps would look something like this:

1. Take a full backup from your existing system.
2. Stop the existing machine. (preferrably shut it down instead of deleting it for now)
3. Access your 3CX Account and locate the corresponding subscription
4. Press Install and select your preferred deployment method.
5. Upload your backup when prompted and complete the installation wizard.
6. Verify the configuration is restored successfully and completely delete your old VM.

Note: Your Public IP will change so do make sure your SIP Trunk on the SIP Provider end is aware of the new IP if this is a requirement.

This is not applicable in our situation. We have set up a new 3CX system for this customer with a temporary trial key. Now we like to unlink the license key from the old FQDN and replace the trial license key from the new PBX with the unlinked license key from the old PBX

Then by "unlink" you mean "release FQDN".

Then it's even easier:
1. Go into your 3CX Account, find the old key and edit it.
2. Release the FQDN
3. Log into the new 3CX System that is now using the trial key.
4. Go to Admin, go to License and Replace the Trial key with your old key.

Note that the FQDN that is on the new System (currently bound to the trial key) will be bound to the old key once you do this.
