Moving to new Google Cloud instance

Hi - If we simply want to create a new google cloud instance of our phone system which will give it a new WAN IP (we're setting up a new Google account) is the process this?

1. Take backup (v18)
2. Shut down VM
3. Use the "install" option in portal to auto-provision google cloud VM (v20)
4. Restore Backup - will this auto upgrade from v18.9 to v20?

Will the system auto provision the FQDN with the new WAN IP and everything go back online? The site has two SBC's I'm assuming those too will auto configure?

The old google cloud instance was created by a consultant using their email address, we have full access to it but rather than attempt to "migrate" it to a different account, we'd like to do this instead.

@dmk_phone That is precisely right. After pressing install just select "Self Hosted (Private Cloud)" and then follow the wizard it's pretty straight forward.

Once the new V20 3CX Instance is up the DNS records will be automatically updated so anything provisioned via the FQDN such as the SBCs should be able to reconnect automatically.

I do recommend you quickly go over this guide though to make sure you're ready for V20:

Excellent - thank you for confirming!! Also, if an upgrade fails for whatever reason (say we did the upgrade to v20 first) are there any logs in Debian to analyze? We're linux capable.
