Multi Line TAPI - Only works for 1 phone call

Using the windows dialer or our crm. I can only make one call everything works as intended on both options. if I try to make a 2nd call nothing happens. only way to make another call is to close out 3cx windows app and relaunch it. the relaunch will only allow 1 call before doing the same thing.....

Using
3cx Server: Enterprise 16.0.676
latest available windows app
latest available tapi plugin

Any suggestions?

I see what your saying....

1. tried installing 15.5
2. tried installing to a different folder path
3. disabled all AV

I removed TAPI from the picture, just using the 3cx app I cant make more than 1 call the 2nd call fails every time.

I finally got it working!

So it only works if a microphone is connected.
With a mic connected I can make many calls using 3cx windows app in softphone mode and CTI and TAPI works..

Without a mic connected I cant make more than 1 softphone call or more than 1 CTI call. using TAPI has no effect on either setup we can remove that from the picture.

Is this the correct behavior without a mic I cant use CTI with the windows app.

I sent the updated log as well.

It's not related to TAPI. I can see 3CXPhone receiving the call request from TAPI the second time, but 3CXPhone is stuck with the first call. That's why the second doesn't progress...

Thanks for the feedback! It seems to be a bug with 3CXPhone then, because in CTI mode it should work without a mic... Thanks for reporting this.

Just checked this internally, and there is actually a reason why the mic is required, and it's the ability to quickly switch from CTI to softphone mode, without restarting the client. So this will not be changed, the mic will continue being required.

You can use the Web Client in CTI mode, which doesn't require a mic because it uses a different technology to control the phone, however it will not work with TAPI...

This will depend on the hardware of the PC. Some sound boards provide the mic capability, even if you don't have a microphone connected... The 3CXPhone log will tell you if it finds the mic or not...

Another update, I am able to make many calls while leaving in softphone mode with the mic connected however CTI only works for the 1st phone call still with the mic. tested using T40G latest supported firmware and T48S
