Hello all,

I have a pbx that is being hosted by 3cx. The office currently being serviced is in Texas. There is a remote office in PA, they are wanting to add another 15 extensions from that office.

What would be the ideal approach? What is best practice?
Upgrade the licensing for the existing system, deploy another SBC and set up all new extensions on the existing phone system
or
Purchase a separate license and host, create a bridge and call it a day?

Do they want to share a number, for inbound and/or outbound? Even if they want different outbound numbers you could still use your first option and set up outbound rules to use a different DID if the SIP provider allows it. Sharing one system might allow for less SC and SIP trunk channels overall, depending on usage. (16+16 vs 24)

The main thing they want to be able to do is to dial just direct extensions and have presence, which I know can be done both ways.
The SIP provider allows for different outbound DIDs so that's no issue.

Seems like it just might be dealer's choice, huh?
