Multiple devices on same extension & in RG can't call each other

I have a setup where I have two devices (say A and B) registered to the same extension (say 01). I have selected the allow multiple calls options. I can call one device from the other no problem by dialing the extension (01). I also have a ring group (say 10) that has extensions 01 and 02. If i call the RG (10) from device A or B, then the other device doesn't ring, but the other members of the Ring Group do. Is there a way to fix this?

This is how 3CX works.

As the extensions have the same ext number, the system sees the extension busy so will not ring. At the beginning of the ring group call, the system will poll the members and only ring the available extensions

What is your reason for having two devices with the same extension number, could you perhaps accomplish the same results, in a different manner?
