Hi Guys,

Quick question.... a customer asked me to link up to 4 extensions on the same phone (Yealink t27)... he really wants the extensions to be treated as unique entities (no forwading)..... is this even doable with 3cx ???

He needs that person to answer differently to each extesion... no matter where the call comes from....

any ideas ?

If a VoIP set has multiple line keys, then any, and, or, all, can be assigned to unique, or the same, extension numbers if desired. In some cases this may require manual programming, or a modification to a template.

Yes you can do this with the T27 but you have to manually configure the additional 3 accounts and then assign DSS keys to them.

A much simpler way to do this in 3CX is to setup the additional extensions as "ring groups" with the first extension as the destination. 3CX will pre-pend the name of the ring group on the incoming call and the person can answer appropriately.

You can even have all four go to different voicemail boxes if unanswered, though I highly suggest using the voicemail to email feature for any additional extensions so that they don't have to check four separate mailboxes.
