Multiple phones with one extension calling

Hello everyone.

I have faced up to the situation when user (one extension) has multiple phones (desktop phone, 3cx client windows, 3cx client ios/android). By default when the user will recieve a call all phones will ring simultaneously to the moment the user will answer the call.

This behavior is annoying. Especially when the user is near to all devices.

Is it possible to change phone ring behavior of the extension? one by one for example?

This is how the system will work as you are using SIP forking , as each extension has the same extension number.

There is way to change the behaviour using the same extension number.

If the users is next the desktop phone, change the 3CX client to cti mode and it will not ring. When away from desk phone, change it to softphone.

You could spilt the devices up with another extension numbers, so if the main extension is busy ring the other extensions.

as above, cascade the numbers with a forwarding strategy, or have different extns in a ring group. Should a person wish to call them internally, simply ring the HG number and have it hunt them.
