I'm new to 3CX: my company, www.informermessages.com creates custom marketing messages on hold for our clients. One of our clients is being switched over to a 3CX.
  • What's the best file format for an on hold recording?
  • Do recordings on hold play from the very beginning each time? If so, is there another option? What about loading multiple files: can they play in a random order?
Thanks.

If you go to settings music on hold it tells you the format required. I think it starts at the beginning each time and you can add multiple MOH and it will chose any. You can specific specific MOH for queues

Thanks. Messages on hold are usually best when callers don't hear the same message first, every time they're on hold. We'll look into it.

Please see screen shot, there is a option at the bottom to randomise which one is played either per day or per call, format is also listed at the top of the page

Hi Casey,

Take a look here, and give it a go. You can use a tool like Audacity to make your audio conform,
