My Experience with Elastix's voice quality

Hi everyone,

Just a small tip, nothing fancy for now

Never ever use your laptop's microphone and speaker to talk to anyone. There's always echo especially you are next to each other.

When I put on a "cheap" headset with microphone, the quality is really good Can't imagine if I use a better headset with noise cancellation, etc.

Tested on LAN calls as well as calling to another mobile phone.

Not sure with 3rd party SIP gateway

Your topic title is wrong. It has nothing to do with the voice quality of Elastix but with the way you use your softphone with or without headset and a laptop. With proper hardware the soundquality will be fantastic.
