Hi All,

I have been looking and trying for days to get V16 of 3CX working with MyNetFone with only partial success. This is what i have been able to do thus far:

  • Get the trunk registered with MyNetFone
  • Firewall test passes
  • Able to receive calls

So far I am unable to make any calls (except to local extensions). This is the log entry in 3CX when attempting to make an external call:

04/15/2019 3:05:05 PM - Call to T:Line:10000>>0415XXXXXX@[Dev:sip:[email protected]:5060] from L:2.1[Extn:103] failed, cause: Cause: 502 Bad Gateway/INVITE from 125.213.160.81:5060
04/15/2019 3:05:05 PM - [CM503003]: Call(C:2): Call to <sip:[email protected]:5060> has failed; Cause: 502 Bad Gateway/INVITE from 125.213.160.81:5060

I rang MyNetFone and they were no help in sorting it out. I have attached some files of the trunk setup. DID's, Inbound and outbound parameters are not changed. If anyone can see any issues with any settings, it would be greatly appreciated if you could point them out.

Regards,

Mark

Hi
Have you set almost one outbound rule ? if not, that's why no outbound call can be done.

Hi,

Yes, I have used the extensions options in the outbound rule.

Mark

Hi @cyberone

Try adding the prefix 61 to your outbound rule for my net phone?

Regards, Jon

Hi YonNomNom,

Doesn't the log entry above show that the system was trying to connect to the SIP provider and the SIP provider is returning this error i.e the outbound rule is routing the call to the correct trunk?

Regards,

Mark

Hi,

Yes i actually based my configs on that post. It is a good post and it helped me getting the trunk registered but still unable to make external calls.

I'm using MNF and am able to make external calls. Attached is my trunk and outbound call rule - worked straight out of the box no problems. Let me know if you'd like any further assistance. :-)

Hi Justin,

The only difference i can see is in the authentication. Yours is IP Based and mine is using Register / Account based. Will try and change mine to IP Based and see what happens.

Regards,

Mark

Yeah, when I got my MNF registration email, it said mine was an IP based registration. I had to provide them the IP address of the PBX, as that is crosschecked (and restricted) on their end.

Makes sense.

I don't think i have an authentication issue as it is receiving calls. I also played around with outbound rules and can confirm that the rules are routing correctly to the trunk. I may try reinstalling from scratch and start again.

Just an update on how i got it to work.

The fix for me was to use the MyNetFone (not the DID) Number in the Configure Outbound Caller ID field under CallerId. Once i put that in, i was able to make outbound calls.
