MyPhone and Outlook issue**OUTLOOK2000NOTSUPPORTED

Silverlight is nice but not the best option for corporate use. We use Citrix and thin clients so Myphone Outlook integration will never work. Also for our folks with laptops or PC's, we have to make them Administrators, bad.

So...what is the trick/workaround/solution?

...made my test windows account admin, installed then removed the admin role. workaround you can say. Not the best solution.

Also...using Skype Gateway, the Outlook pop-up tries to create a new entry even though the Skype username is already a Contact AND comes over fine on 3CX Phone as well as real Skype contact name. Can 3CX fix that?

Skype Gateway is a free tool and used as is and no further *updates* associated with it will be made to it or for it.

Skype Connect is a totally different animal unlike Skype. Skype was tested recently and 3CX is certified with Skype Connect.
The Gateway works but with new 3CX Phone System releases it will not be updated and hasn't been in a long time.

You're going to have to scrap the Silverlight MyPhone, not ready for prime-time. No one in a corporate enviroment is going to give users Admin access. Those of us in the server based computing world SBC/Terminal Server, need MSI based installs where the install wizard asks if you want to install for "Everyone that uses this computer".

We were so ready to jump on the 3CX bandwagon.

Will try to demo v9 with 3CX Assistant if possible.

Myphone and all the items for outlook integration need a standard installer like an exe or msi method that supports the "everyone" option. See image link.

Silverlight is nice but unless you offer rock solid install method especially for citrix users... It will never fly for us.

Our local 3cx phone rep demoed v9 3cx assistant and we were fine with it.

Sorry, I can't sign off on v10 myphone.

We really need the call centre piece of v10, like to migrate of avaya.

kylejoe1 - Outlook 2000 is not supported. Never was nor in version 9 neither in version 10. Never will.

Supported outlook is 2003, 2007, 2010
