Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone can help me with the following two questions:
1. I am using voip.ms SIP with 3cx, how can i configure the system so that the outbound calls show the name of the user who is calling? at this time caller id just shows the number on the third party caller id ...

2. Is it possible to have more than 4 Sim calls on 3cx? as even the enterprise version shows 3 sim calls

please advise

Yes it is. You can upgrade your license to more sim calls according to your needs. A 3CX partner can help you upgrade and choose the best license for your needs.

If the options are correct, then (in the majority of calls, within Canada) name should be sent, and received. Name display cannot be guaranteed when calls leave the country, as every terminating provider handles name display differently. In Canada, if a name is sent, it is usually left untouched..

For Voip.ms you will need to adjust a parameter in outbound parameters.
Change the "From:DisplayName" to CallerName as in the screenshot below and try again

Thanks for the help everyone .. i have tried to change From Display name as you suggested in the screenshot however still no luck

Check the activity log for the Invite to the provider. ( set the logging level to verbose) If the PBX sends the info correctly then I would suggest speaking to Voip.ms regarding this.

This is what the voip.ms is showing so caller id name and number is being sent from caller id feild from user which can only be a number .. 3CX is not sending name 2656116B-7FEC-4071-BF44-BB75623B850F.jpeg

I am pretty sure that this not from the 3CX activity log. What is reported in the Voip.ms portal has nothing to do with what 3CX might be sending. Voip.ms might be reading the caller ID from a different SIP header or might be ignoring the caller ID name altogether.
The first step to troubleshoot your issue is to make sure that 3CX is sending the correct info or not. You can do so by looking in the Activity Log of the PBX. You can also run a packer capture to verify.
If 3CX is sending the caller ID name then you should look at the voip.ms end. If 3CX is not sending the caller ID name then you need to adjust 3CX.

Yes this is from voip.ms I was not able to identify which activity log I had to open to get that information.. will try again .. thanks for helping out

The Activity Log is on the 3CX Dashboard. If you enter there you can then go to settings and set the logging level to verbose. That will give you maximum details. You can then make a call and check the logs.
You can also filter per call so you do not see all information.

Figured it out ... i had changed a few settings in the outbound parameters of the sip truck .. thanks for assistance
