Need help provisioning Cisco 7960 on Pfsense

Hi All,

Can someone guide me into the right direction on how to provision cisco phone 7960 on my pfsense firewall? tried everything and still no luck... upload all the necessary files from 3cx website into tftp on debian box and still didn't work...

You still have templates in the 3CX system for theses phones despite them being on the EOL list: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

I would check and confirm what firmware version you are using is correct as these sorts of models will be very sensitive to firmware version (same with the Polycoms).

Your 2 options for provisioning are DHCP option 66: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/dhcp-option-66/ or manually inputting the provisioning link into the interface of the phones.

in pfsense > services menu at top > dhcp server > select interface > additional bootp/dhcp options > option put 66 type = text value whatever the your 3cx prov server is "http://192.168.22.15:5000/provisioning/randomvalue"
