Hi All,

I am looking for some assistance in configuring a Cisco ATA SPA112 with a Polycomm SoundStation2.

Your help would be greatly appreciated if you've done this before - this is my first time configuring an analogue phone.

Thanks,

Alex.

I have configured an extension "110", and have entered subscriber information into the ATA.

Proxy - IP of hosted 3CX
Display Name - 110
Password: ****
Auth ID: ****
Use Auth ID: yes

The phone shows as registered in 3CX, and under phones I can see the ATA.

However I can not dial out on the phone.

Why would you use an ATA, your Polycomm SoundStation2 will register without it.

The Polycomm SS2 is an analogue phone.

I have no other analogue phones unfortunately. I don't really deal with analogue.

Before trying to dial out, first check the echo test by dialing *777
Also make sure the Dial Plan in the ATA contain something like "( xx. )"
Last but not least... Check the Activity Log.

Setting up a proper dialplan, on the ATA, that is able to deal with any digit string dialled, is something to consider. There are a number of web sites, with examples, that can be modified to suit your particular PBX dial plan.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/do...es-7-5-7/ip_phone_admin/shared_Dial_Plan.html

The "default" dialplan should be able to deal with most situations so you will need to determine if the ATA is sending some digits to 3CX. As mentioned above, that can be confirmed using the Activity Log.

Thank you @leejor & @complex1 - I restored the defaults of the ATA did the quick setup then allowed AuthID: yes and the LINE1 lit up green and I got a dial tone and could ring out.

Now, I am setting up the 2nd ATA and did exactly the same however no green light for a different extension. In Information it says failed registration. Both extensions look identical bar extension, name, AuthID and password.

Are the ATAs local to the 3CX server?

Did you check the 3Cx Activity Log to see if the second ATA is registering....perhaps it's IP has been blacklisted. You did a "factory" reset on the second ATA before beginning?
