Microsoft suggest that you should use the @Outlook for beta testing. But I have personally tested gmail accounts myself by first registering it and worked for me

For me it took some days until the beta arrived/was visible in the store

Chat is now available in the tiny window of softphone, there is no possibility to enlarge chat window or even make a view to see recent peer to peer chat participants and switch between p2p chats. When chat tab with participant remain active, and Softphone window goes in background, incoming msg from that participant makes "1" blue digit notification on 3cx softphone icon in taskbar and "1" disappears straightaway, so you can't get info of missed msg as it marks as already seen.

@ThomB_3CX would it be possible to change the "Seen" notification in new app chat with respect to text messages to "delivered to carrier" instead (or maybe just "delivered") since SMS doesn't have the ability to notify with respect to being seen or not? In the other clients the dual check-marks denote that the carrier accepted the SMS whereas in true chat they mean the message has been seen so it is appropriate in those circumstances.

A few things I have found.

• There is no information area, so when a client does a live chat and enters their email and name, there is no way to see this. As the client assumes as you entered these, you know who they are. So you then need to go to the webclient to see this info.
• Option to select a notification noise on a new chat message is missing.
• Availability to resize the app window is now more important, as with chat in the app, as you find you have to scroll too much.
• Missing option to add new users.
• And the most important is no Emoji. lol
